| 2 questions..... | gspot Nov 14, 2003 12:48 PM | | what are those tires? front / rear? sizes ? and are those 2 different wheel sizes?, or just an optical illusion... thankee |
| 2 questions..... | SS rif Nov 14, 2003 1:29 PM | | Those are Geax Sedonas 2.25, front and rear. Once I got used to them, I really started to like them. Easiest tires to install and remove I've ever owned. Must be the softer sidewalls. Both wheels are the same size. |
| Excellent! | Sparty Nov 13, 2003 9:38 PM | | How do you like 'er and whereabouts do you fly 'er? That frame is a gorgeous blue color... and the ENO hub... wow! Such an elegant answer to the chain tension question.
Schweet!

| Excellent! | SS rif Nov 14, 2003 5:11 AM | | Thanks Sparty. I converted "ol'blue" a couple of months ago, and we've been flailing around the local trails here in Tucson. Except for the Soul Ride last month, and one road ride, this has been the only bike I seem to want to ride anymore!
I bought it new in '97 as a commuter, but when the original drive train finally gave up the ghost, I did the conversion. Originally, I use a singleator and spacers on the freehub, but I'm glad I went with the ENO. Just wanted that clean look. She's a little rough on the rocky trails we have down here, but I've been holding off on suspension. Best to keep it simple! I'll be looking around the bike swap tomorrow for a Ti or Carbon handlebar.
Happy Trails! |

| ENO is king | ernesto from Wisconsin Nov 14, 2003 8:58 AM | | ENO is the best invention ever. See, any frame can be SS. Ride it hard. |
| That bike looks awfully familiar... | PROGRE-SS Nov 14, 2003 2:28 PM | | ...maybe cuz it looks like mine?
This is a pic from back when I first converted it.
This is a more recent pic taken with my camera phone on a lunch time ride. Changes are a Shimano 16T cog and a rootbeer coloured rigid fork.

| That bike looks awfully familiar... | SS rif Nov 14, 2003 6:54 PM | | Hey James, nice bike! My 930 has always been my favorite bike. Such a sweet ride, with no bad habits or nasty personality. Well, except for that time she launched me over the handlebars, and broke my right clavicle, but that was my fault.... too much road riding! We have reached an understanding. I keep her SS, and she won't hurt me!
