I've seen multiple posts about ENO Hubs and they look great. My question (I'm sure Ernesto could easily answer this) is that I have seen nothing on this site regarding ENO disc compatible hubs. I've seen them on the White Bros. Website but have heard no talk of them here. Does anyone have any experience?
no such thing....gspot

there was a small discussion about them here some time ago... but it is impossible to rin discs with an eno and its eccentricity. (sp?) something about how the axle rotates... blah, blah blah.. etc.
the disc hub which you see on white's website is not an eno, just one of their other hubs fir gearies. ENO only refers to their line of ss products... (freewheel, eccentric hub, and soon to come cranks.)
word is that white industries is trying to amke an eno disc hub.. but when , if ever it happens is anyone's guess... ??

here a link to a past discussion (eno info embedded in an irrelevant thread) you may hsve to hunt around in the thread for the eno info...

There is an ENO disc hub, it's just not eccentric.

"We are offering three models of The ENO. The first is a standard freewheel hub shell with a threaded mount for a freewheel. The second shell has a disc rotor mount machined into the non-drive side of the hub shell. The rotor mount is machined to the industry standard 6-bolt pattern. The last ENO hub is Eric's Eccentric which is further detailed below. The ENO comes equipped with two sealed cartridge bearings and is available in 28h, 32h, and 36h."

Thanks for the help, I was misinformed. I am still trying to figure out the best way to go in setting up my SS. I am currently using a singleator but would like to do away with it. I bent it along with the drop out on an epic ride and decided that if I am going to own a single speed I shouldn't need to have something hanging down ready to catch on a rock when I am 4 hours into a ride and feeling a bit buzzed. Luckily my foot was all that was needed to bend it back. I would also like to upgrade to Discs, I guess I will have to go with a singlespeed specific frame and deal with the hassle of changing wheels. I just can't see myself with an EBB, I don't like even thinking about Bottom brackets, much less any creeks or groans that may be associated with them. Sorry for being wordy, if anyone has anything to add, I can use all the advice I can get. Thanks again!

Go front disc only and an ENO eccentric hub (or have track ends installed if it's a steel frame). The front brake does most of the work and the cost won't be nearly as much as a new frame and wheel set + 2 disc brakes.

I'm running front disc only on my SS and it's fine. And that's compared to my 1x9 with full hydros. Save your money, run the ENO/front disc/the frame you got combo for a year, then when you've had enough of seeing a year's worth of super-bling-bling-shizzle-my-dizzle-fo-rizzle custom frames being built on this message board, you'll have the cash saved to get your own.

At least, that's what I'd do.

I'm sure the scientists at White Industries will some day come up with disc ENO for the eccentric hub, but just leave it be for now.

What frame are we talking about here?

I am going to build a lamp shade out of sewn gnome foreskins.

My Single speed is a schwinn Moab frame built with Mediocre yet decent parts, I was lucky enough to buy it on e-bay for $205.00 last winter. I have been riding it almost exclusively all summer and with a couple upgrades has been awesome. If I do decide to go disc in the front only I would probably use my beautiful Scandium year 2000 Tomac that has been collecting dust as a gearie. It does not have rear disc tabs. The bikes I see on this site on a daily basis make me want to take out a second job, buy a beautiful custom bike and rent out a storage unit just to hide it from my wife! Since I don't have a lot of $$$ put into my current SS I feel I have plenty of options on what I can do, whether it be upgrade or sell and buy something new (new to me at least). I guess it will come down to what my current state of mind is when I have the $$$ to spend. What I do know is that you can't really go wrong as long as you have a single speed and nice trails to ride it on(I'm a complete S.S. Convert). Thanks again for the ideas and sorry for being so wordy.
