Im soo frustrated...OrBust

I know some of you guys have already answered this question. But I cant find a front hub to save my life. Im looking for a cheap, LIGHT hub. All I can find is a shimano LX, which is like 200 grams....I looked everywhere for something lighter and the same price, $17. And as far as front rims go....should I just find the lightest damn 32 hole rim possible? The lightest I can find is the mavic 517 (or 519 I forget) which are about 450 grams. Anybody have specifics on models or brands?? REALLY appreciate any info...thanks.

Just get the LX and drill some holes in the body. Voila, a 150 gram hub :)

Just kidding. For $17 you can't really go wrong though!

The Mavic 517 is the one you want...nice and light and rim brake ready. Obiously you're not going disk only if you're thinking about the LX hub.

as I said in a recent post, hop onto cambria's hot sale page and you'll see a few cheap hubs that are light.

Here's an example: BikeTek Front Hub, 130grams, $20, it even looks like it has cartridge bearings which are always a plus.

Wanna go a little richer?
Nukeproof Atom Bomb Hub, 107 grams, $50
Nukeproof Superfly Hub, 115grams, $40

As for the rim, the 517 is 400 grams, the 519 is 460 grams. Go for the rim that you think will suit your riding
The $60 combo at bike n' hike i told you about is your best betspecP.3

Yeah yeah, I know....but I dont know how much the thing weighs? Call me a pussy, but I want a light front end. Im going to head down there today....and see what they have layin around. I found a hub online, $20, 125 grams.....perfect. With a mavic 517 front rim, and the build from Ctopia, it will come in at about $90.
Hey man....by the way, thanks for the tree, I got it last night.
Ive been so axious to ride, all I do is practice manuals in the street. Today I busted a manual to a bunnyhop manual on sidewalk to flip flop slip(fucin rain) to pedal+shin to rear tire in the ass. I really need to get some real shoes. Talk to you later.....
