Just to clear things up Kenny Belays Colnago is NOT a painted Monty.
I talked with him bout his bike.
He said it was made personally for him by Colnago, & if you ever happen to have seen his bike you'd notice the geometry difference between that & a Monty. Sure it might somewhat look like one but it's his design.
Geez I wish people would get there fax straight before saying things they know nothing about & just assume things.
assume things, eh???Regder

by monty I meant his MOD not his stock which is obviously not a Monty. Anyone can see that his stock bike is in fact not a Monty but rather a hybrid copy, his mod is a different story. I might have forgot to mention it, but he will concentrate his riding on MOD for Koxx. So unless his yellow mod frame (which is painted a really cool bright yellow/orange) is in fact a custom Colnago, rather than a resprayed '99 Monty mod frame which is my guess, I shall forever humbly beg your forgiveness for making such a horrible mistake, I hope I haven't hurt him too much...

bro, time to switch to some decaf there

I'm not trying to start wars here but everyone is assuming his bikes are Monty's but in fact there not. They are custom jobs.
I didn't mean to sound harsh but hearing it over & over begins to get annoying, if you can relate.

Peace

my mistake, could you ever find it in your heart to forgive me for making such a horrible, character destroying mistake?

If it is a custom jub as you say it is (why they would is beyond me, but whatever) they based it around the wrong model year, the '99 X-Lites have a design flaw causing the seat tube to crack at the top tube intersection, hence the gussets added for '00. Guess they missed that
