what kind of shoes do trials riders wear? just plain skate shoes (Etnies, DC, and such...) or are there trials-specific shoes?
Yes and yesFabulous

Skate shoes are pretty popular, since waffle soles really grab onto the pins. A lot of people also like BMX shoes as they're made for the same pedals.

yes most trials riders use plain old regular skate shoes. Monty makes a pair of shoes that are pretty much trials specific, and conveniently mandated for use on the BIU circuit (well close enough, the only other shoe that fits the rules well enough are the Axo Dually's)
