Echo bikes?Dog Welder

What do you guys know about them? Both the stock and mod bikes? Reason ask is that I'm in China right now and apparently I can get either of these frames for 750 Yuan or about 95 USD. Which is a STEAL! Problem that comes in is transport. I don't have a hard case so what is the best way to bring them back to the US?

I rode one and it felt really nice. Short chainstays, and a pretty good feel.

Check them out at www.thetrialsinshop.com

To bring back a frame all you really have to worry about is the rear end getting crushed. You should be able to get a peice of plastic from a bike store that goes between the rear dropouts to stop the frame being squished. If you can't get one, make one from some PVC pipe or something.

I'd get the frame for that much if I were you...worst case is you bring it back and sell it for $200 and double your money.

if you have the money, buy a few. Keep one for yourself and sell the others upmarked and make a bit on the side. Transporting them might be a problem, best thing to do is find a cardboard box from a bike shop or wherever you are getting it from to hold it in. As the other poster mentioned, get one of the plastic bits to place between the dropouts too.

As for actual shipping, you could try sending it ahead of time and claim it's for warranty. I think that way you aren't charged any duty fees. I could be wrong though, but I'm pretty sure there are ways to get around it.

Good luck man

yeh do, i know someone that has just got one, and he loves it.
and $95 is VERY cheap, i think he paid about £300

as for transport, could you take it as hand luggage on the plane, just to be sure?

Just make sure about the fees before ordering. They might be higher than the frame or bike itself and you may spend as much as you saved before.
