new freewheel for all the mod riders...Regder

just got it off vtcz.ch, http://www.vtcz.ch/pages/biketechnik_englisch/news/index.php . Should be a good addition to any mod rider's bike (well those still running freewheels) if it works out well

Instant engagement huh? When I was at home over xmas break, I was working in my dads garage and he has a open ended "ratchet" wrench...and the ratchet mechanism was instant engagement, I thought it would be cool to adapt that somehow to bikes. King and its 72 engagments points...HAH.

a ratchet wrench relies on a pawl system, similar to most hubs out there from what I remember. It isn't as instant as you might think, it is simply harder to find the gaps between points. If you move it slowly you'll be able to notice the gap.

The silent clutch system is completely different

I do know what a standard ratchet is. This was an 'open ended' wrench, one side has the crescent the other has the full. The full side has the instant engagement, absolutely no ratchets whatsoever, just continuous and smooth and locked up exactly wear you stopped. I wanted to tear it apart, but never got around to it.
