Ski wax in winter?Kami

Anyone tried using XC ski wax instead of tar in the winter? How does that work? I'm trying to find ways to make brakes work in the wet.

I can't say I've ever heard of anyone running ski wax. Might work, might not, worth a try however

The proven methods are a grind or disk brake...
kickwax would work8speed

what you need is kickwax, not wax. wax is slick and helps a ski glide, and would decrease brake power. kickwax is similar to tar, you put it under the foot on an XC ski without a kickpad to increase traction. it's super tacky, but pretty nasty and a total pain in the arse to clean. it probably would work pretty well, though.
