Your thoughts on this frame, etc. (2 posts)
| Your thoughts on this frame, etc. | KK Oct 16, 2003 6:08 PM | | I was given a Supergo Access hardtail frame...my size (18). New. It is $149, so it's not the most elegant frame. The specs are here:http://www.supergo.com/sizecharts/XCLgeometry.jpg
I have a great full susp. rig (Hammerhead/ Titus) so I don't need the frame for that purpose. Thought I would use it to build a SS. Would this frame make a good basis? 3 1/2 lbs. |
| As a trials bike or as an SS? | EricTheRed Oct 17, 2003 8:27 AM | | if you are asking if its a good SS then you should probably post this question on the SS forum. However I can answer than too, yes it should be a good frame for SS, find a gearing that works for you and it will rock.
As a trials frame, it will be a good begginer bike. Many people start on xc bikes. However if you want to trade the bike for a smaller frame that would probably give your boys some more room and give you more confidence to try more things. If you want to run it as a SS trials bike, that can be done too, try to find a gearing around 22:18 or 22:19. |
