hey, I'm thinking about a 24inch rear wheel on a stock trials bike. I have some questions for you. When you designed your bike, what considerations did you have for the BB height and chainstay length? Is your bike a single speed? Compare your bike to other trials bikes that you have ridden, both stock and mod, in performance on the rear wheel, on moves such as pedal-ups and sidehops, rolling around on natural stuff... whatever else.
what are my options for rims and tires? I am a believer in sticky tread, and my favorite combo on my stock bike was a michelin 2.2 on a DX32. I'll probably stick with the DX32 in 24inch, if I choose this setup. Thanks for your help.

first off, make sure your wheel sizes match front and back, else your headnagle and stuff get wacked real fast. 24's are nice in that they dont get bent, better acceleration, more tire clearance, looks cool. they drop your BB one inch and are difficult to find lightweight tires and wheels for. a good place to look is Arrow racing. they've got every tire imaginable in 24. i use 24's for my freeride hardtail because it feels more like a tank and keeps me low flying. i'd stick with 26s for a trials bike since you'll have more tire selection and you can compete without any hiccups. 24s are the shit for downhill and stuff though.

oh heck, just go buy a mod! 20 inch for life!
