PX Zebdi, Brisa, or Echo? Which to buy...RG

Looking to sell my monty mod and get one of these. I'll be doing urban and natural trials. I'm leaning towards the Zebdi, but would like feedback.

what's your style like? list your best tricks and favorite things to do.

also, do you have a freeride bike or trail bike in addition to your mod? this might give some insight to which would suit you best.

general knowledge:
zebdi is nice and light
brisa b26d is the only thing i'd trust to use disc brakes on. dont risk it with any other frame
echo's are dead sexy and competition worthy.

Yeah, I race DH on a Turner DHR amd have a SC superlight trail bike. Also have a RFX that I am selling. I like riding natural terrain (rocks, logs, etc..) and like urban riding too. The zebdi seems like it covers everything.

go with a jack flash if you want a little of the urbanish trials style

the echo, zebdi and brisa are all similar. ride each. the brisa b26d is your best bet if you're using a disc brake. i'd recommend it highly. the echo is a very light sexy setup. the zebdi's are pretty colors.

The echo and zebdi are sort of similar, short chainstays, steep head angle, but that brisa's back end is a mile long. I would stay away from the jackflash. Jerbear have you ridden any of these frames?

damn, i've ridden nearly every stock frame that exists and i'm positive i've ridden every mod except the newest Zoo mod that hasn't come out yet. A good friend of mine has a Zebdi but is switching over to a Brisa to run a disc brake. I would have to agree that the Brisa definitely is a long frame, but some people like this (weirdos). The zebdi and echo are definitely similar, though i'dhave to reccomend the Zebdi over the Echo because first off, they have super sexy paint jobs! other things to consider are the fact that P-X makes the nicest freakin frames around and they have fantastic customer service. They have a frame replacement policy that will keep you riding if you totally bust yours apart.

Yeah, the Jackflash is cool if you want to mess around or slap some squishy suspension on to it, but it's really not a dedicated trials bike what with the bashplate and all. Super beefy, but kind of heavy.

I myself use pretty much nothing but Planet-X components on my big bike (le toy 3). Stem, bars, seat, post, chainring, pedals, rims, it's all planet x. I trust them and so should you.

I personally ride a mod for trials but have a lot of experience with stocks. If you need any help with trials frame related issues, just shoot me an e-mail and i'll try to help you out.

Hell, just get one of these if you can find it!

What do you think about this lastest craze of long wheelbased bikes. Does 20 or 30 mm make that much of a difference? I'd just like to hear some views on this matter.

hmm

personally i dont think the overall wheelbase really matters that much in my personal style. i tend to stay on my rear wheel almost the whole time if possible. as such, i worry more about the chainstay length of my bikes. Having a more compact bike will allow you to manuever better though, but if your bike is a litle on the long side, you can make it feel shorter or smaller just by swapping your stem out. It really depends on your riding style as to whether a long or short bike will suit you best. if you find that you really like short chainstays, worry about finding short chainstays. 10 or 20 mm of wheelbase really wont make a big difference. It's really up to how big of a guy you are and what feels comfy to you.

A good way to see how much wheelbase does or doesn't affect your ride is to ride Stock Bike A with wheelbase X, then ride a mod around, then ride Stock Bike B with Wheelbase Y. You probably wont be able to tell a difference between the different wheelbases if the chainstays are similar.
