I race XC so want a light frame and this one seems to be just that- scandium FS.

Aug 31, 2001 8:54 AM | | If you're a serious racer, I'd definitely think about buying the frame and building it up yourself. Unless you really need discs and a tubeless wheelset, you could probably save a good chunk of weight. You could also save some weight by going with a different fork.
I own a 2000 Element TO, which is the same frame with a slightly heavier aluminum tubeset. Nice bike, and would make a good FS race bike. Climbs reasonably well, is acceptably stiff, given the fairly light weight, and descends well. A nice all-around FS XC frame. |
