What is the best match for the x? I am considering the SID SL and X Fly 80. i am concerned about the Sids durability & the 80s stiction. I weigh 125 and ride east coast singletrack. Please help.

At your weight the Sid SL would be the way to go. I would also give the new Duke Race a look especially if you plan on doing any drops with your X. I just made the switch from a X-fly to a Duke. You can read my review about the Duke under product reviews. Overall I'm very pleased with the switch. The front of my racerx tracks better and I'm no longer fighting the front on steep climbs.

Well, it just depends on what you want

you want the plushest/most durable fork with the least maintenance?
get an Atom Race (4lbs)

not being a Rock Shox fan it's hard to admit the Duke SL (3.7) is a very nice fork, and reports are that the Duke Race (3.4) are nice as well (see below)

you are really light and can ride something like an 02 SID SL

I would honestly at this point get the Duke over the Xfly, god, did I just say that?

I am a LONG time bomber guy but they just haven't got their spring rates right yet, I am very intrigued by the upcoming Marathons
as well as the Fox Forx

a black elite air 80 might be a good call

decisions, decisions...
but at 125 lbs I would lean towards a SID SL
you are light and won't stress a fork as much as a 200lb guy would, so why lug around the extra weight?

having said that, if you said you were going to the Antartica for 3 years to ride your bike and there would be zero support for you, screw the weight and get an Atom Race
