I was leaning towards the Big Sur, but is it worth the extra $110? (i've heard people have had a few maitenance problems with the Hoo Koo E Koo, but none with the Big Sur). Thanks

These two bike have the exact same frame (not only the genesis geometry but also the Alu grade and tube shaping). Most of the componentes are also the same .The most significant differences are
the Marzocchi Z5 on the Big Sur (better than the Magnum R) and the Bontrager superstock wheelset over the corvairs. I do not know how better the superstocks are over the corvairs. Not considering the wheelset difference, in your place I'd be tempted to get the HKEK, buy a SX-R for around $135 (which just a bit over the $110 price difference) and sell the Magnum R. You would have practically a bike like the big sur (with a better fork in my opinion) and could get some money back depending on how much you could sell the Magnum R.

But that is just me, what the the heck, if liked the Big Sur get it, that paint job is really sweet and $110 is not a big difference.

Good luck

I had a pair on my Tassajarah and they're really weak. Get the big sur, at least you won't have to replace the wheels and the fork.
