K2 in general.(2 posts)

K2 in general.lbz

I am looking to purchase a new bike. I dont race but enjoy xc, steep decents, and any excuse to ride. Currently ride hard tail.
Dont want to spend a ton on a new bike as my season is coming to a close, and have a chance to purchase a new K2 Attack 4.0 f/s at a good price.
I have not found any feed back on this model, either positive or negative, but see alot of other K2 models on the on the trails.
Does anyone have an opinion on this bike?

I don't know too much about the Attack, but I do own a K2 (Razorback) so I'm going to generalize a bit here. I have been very pleased with my bike since the purchase, and I think K2 puts out a high quality bike. The downside to owning a K2 is finding a reputable dealer (or any dealer) that is close by. My nearest dealer is 2 hours away, so getting K2 specific parts is sometimes a chore. Also, I'm not all that wild about K2's customer service. I waited over 3 weeks for a new fork cap (!!) and I have been given poor advice via telephone from one of their customer-service reps. A small price to pay really, but something to think about. You might want to try this address:
www.cynosure.dyn.dhs.org/proflex/
It is a forum for K2/Proflex bikes and their owners. They can probably tell you more about the Attack. Good luck!
