Hammer Race, M4, or F700 (2 posts)
| Hammer Race, M4, or F700 | daneil Sep 2, 2001 2:09 PM | | Down to these three. All are the same price $1,000 and before I go out for one last test ride on each I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys. I read the reviews and am looking for more info. Thanks. |

Out of the bikes you've listed personally i'd go with the Rocky Hammer Race. Reasons, well the frame first off is a steel 523 or something like that and i'm a steel fan. The components are also top notch for the price range and you can't go wrong with a marzocchi up front. Great bike in the price range and a great company to back you up. The M4 well i've heard from a few that it's a great bike, aluminum but of course very light and the Specialized parts arent' the greatest from what i've heard but other than that it should be spec'd fairly decently. The F700, i'm assuming that that's a Cannondale. Not a fan myself, I have a friend who owns a similar model and I was not a fan of the headshock at all. The bike also rode like a tank. But still a great name. The winner here in my opinion is the Rocky. But in the end get what fits best.
Good Luck |
