| Best XC FS bike for around 2200.... | jfk0240 Jan 9, 2002 7:49 PM | | Im lookin at the 02 fsr pro, which I have heard weighs 24.5 stock. Is there anything else around the 2200 dollar price point I should consider? I will use it as a race bike in the southeast. I weigh 130. Anyone riding an 02 pro? Like it? Thanks for the help. |

They all come in different price ranges but in my opinion you get the most bang for your buck with Specialized or K2 of the ones I mentioned. |

(winningbiker@cs.com). nice bike nice parts and well under $2200. check out a giant NRS1 $2000, add some upgrades, sell the wheels and get some custom laced should put you at $2200... i dont think you can do better for the money. my next bike is a k2 razorback team. almost exactly $2200. |

I just picked up a 2001 K2 Razorback Team SL today at a local sports super store (Galyans). They had it on clearance for ~$1800. I know they had one more, size medium left. Components are top notch. Ride is smooth. The weather is supposed to break this week so I won't know how it performs off-road for another few weeks. I took a bit of a leap of faith buying it without riding something similar in the trails. Also, REI.com has 2001 Team SLs for $1299.
