please help! to all merlin owners or mtb pros!Gregor

i ordered a merlin mtb. unfortunately my dealer made a mistake and will not be able to deliver in the agreed time. now they offer me the xlm-model, for the same price. but i somehow suspect the much lighter xlm to be to weak for my weight (210). can anyone give me advice? please?

i had a merlin mountain long ago. i am 170# and i can feel it flex, so if you are 200# you will definitely flex XLM. most merlin dealers carry seven's. get a seven, much stiffer.

if you want ti at 210 pounds, I'd say go custom so the builder can take your weight into account. My guess is that any of the stock Merlins would feel flexy to you--especially the extra light.
