Ok, this should be my last post. I'm still not sure which bike to buy. I ride to work everyday (aprox. 120km/week), potholes, sewer grates, uneven road etc etc... and I like to do some light XC. I have been looking at the Trek 8000/8500, the Rocky Mountain Oxygen, the Giant SE2, Cannondale F700, a Klien Attitude 2001 model that is on sale, and the Stumpjumper M4 Pro. there seem to be a lot of choices? This should be my last post, I think......

You need to actually ask a question to get an answer. That aside they're all really good bikes so what you need to do is swing your butt onto as many as you can and just buy the one that fits/feels best to you. Period. Nada. No Mas. There really is nothing else. :-)

Now go out and do it!

I think it will be Trek 8000...isukathis

I test rode a few today, and compared to my shitty 10 year old mtb most rode very nice. I liked the Trek 8000 and for the extra money I just don't see the need for the 8500. If I need to upgrade components at least I can do it throughout time. Thanks for all your comments...
Ditto--there is no "best" bike in this worldRicksom

However, your choices seem rather "high end" for the kind of riding you will be doing.
Test ride them first, in order of price until you don't notice any improvements as the price rises. This especially includes fit.
