The wait is over - she's finally here. HH100x built up more as a "race" bike than a "trail" bike.

- 23" HH100x Frame
- Fox 100R fork
- XT build kit
- Thomson Post & Stem
- King Headset
- Hugi 240/517 wheelset
- Avid SD7 V's
- Fire XC Pros w/ normal tubes
- CT2 bar
- 959 pedals

Weight is 25.5 lbs - actually lighter than the Superlight it replaced! Should be able to get it to 24.75 easily with lighter tires and tubes or "Stan's" system - not bad at all for a ~4" front and rear trail-worthy bike.

Initial ride impressions - WOW! Super, super stiff compared to the Superlight I'm coming off of. No bob from the rear on sprints, though the fork does move a lot more than the SID that I had before. The handling speed is spot-on - not too fast, not too slow - it feels right with the 100mm fork, which is so cool... And the blue ano is just beautiful...

Charles' customer service was as usual - superb. He built the bike up for me in a hurry due to some work conflicts I had, and had it ready for me to ride at the trail head. He may be Satan, but he's still pretty cool...

I plan to ride a bunch over the next week, and will race the bike next weekend. I'll post a more detailed review after that...

Not a weight weenie, but how did you save weight? Looks like wheels and v-brakes would save you some weight over mine, but I think mine is closer to 26.5 to 27. Is there anything else? Haven't weighed it yet, been too busy riding it (and I don't have access to an accurate scale).

There's nothing really special about the build. The wheelset is super light - ~1500g for the set. The V's also save some weight over most discs. I also opted for the normal Racer-X rear stays as opposed to the 'boxed' stays on a normal HH100x. Don't know how much weight that saved, though. I also cut the bars down a bit, and the pedals are decently light. I figure if I'd ran King disc hubs, beefier spokes and Avid discs, I'd probably add close to a pound to the bike.
I really want one of those!!!Erok

Welcome to the club. I know I'm lovin' mine.

I would have loved to get a whole new build but just getting the new frame & fork was streching it a bit with the wife.

Delivered to the trail head, now that's SERVICE!!!
Oh and BTW boxed chain stays...Metroid
