2001 GT Zaskar Team frame question(6 posts)

2001 GT Zaskar Team frame questiondmitry

The only sizes supergo.com gives are Small, Medium and X-Large. Can somebody please tell me what sizes Small, Medium and X-Large really are for this frame(in terms of inches)? The response I got from supergo was that sizes vary with different manufacturers. I'm 6'1 and need 18" frame, can somebody help me out with the frame sizes? Thanks in advance.

Size S M L

Stand over 26.2 28.2 29.7
Toptube 22.3 23.5 24.3

Estimated 16-17 18-19 20-21 in inches

Just guessing I took the actual measurements from the SuperGo catalog.

thanks for the post, but 18-19" seems a little too big for a medium size frame. then what is X-Large? if the frame I buy is too small for me, would a longer stem and higher seat tube cure that problem?

Do you own or have access to a bike that fits you now? I would take some simple measurements and compare. I was only estimating based on the measurements of other bikes that are sized in inches. You need to measure you standover. Go to the ColoradoCyclist site they have a decent page on bikefit.

well, it's too late now. i ordered the frame yesterday, just the frame. i don't think finding parts is going to be a problem since it's a hardtail frame and not a full suspension frame. i looked into 2001 GT i-Drive Team frame but it's many movable parts kept me from buying it, since like you said finding replacement parts would be tough. i only worry about the fit.
