WHICH BIKE DO I BUYDCM

can somebody give me some pointers on which bike to buy. I can not decide between the stumpjumper FSX and the enduro FSR. Which would be best for both cross country and downhill - freefide.

I can't imagine a stumpjumper FSR would be that great for "freeride." It's built for XC racing afterall. I've got an Enduro expert and it's real nice on the technical downhill stuff here, but it's a tad sloppy for climbing technical climbs. Since I do not plan on racing to win, the Enduro was a better bike for me. If you want to do well in XC races, you'll have to be extraordinarily strong to do so on the Enduro, but the FSR XC will be well suited.

Personally I think there are better bikes for the same money in either case. Specialized is great at advertising and the bikes that follow are fine but check out the alternatives before you spend your money - Santa Cruz, Rocky Mountain, Ellsworth ($) or Kona. Good luck!
