Aug 4, 2002 6:53 PM | | I'm trying to choose a new mountain bike, I've narrowed it down to 2, but I'm not sure if one is woth the extra money. Both bikes are Mongooses. One bike is an MGX 26", 21 speed, red x-frame, full suspension(element racing), and aluminum...it is from Wal-mart(I can't find it on the site but some may know it by my description) for $150. The other bike is from Dick's(who many people say have higher prices, hence my confusion). It's a Mongoose 2002 Intake Full Suspension...it can be found under cycling on www.dickssportinggoods.com for $200 if my description is confusing. It is a full frame bike(instead of x frame)with a steel swing arm, aluminum, 24 speed, 26", RST USA Mozo RM110 W/76 mm Travel. They both have the same Shimano shifting. I feel that the $200 one is more solid, but I'm not if the frame and steel swing arm are worth it, or if the suspension is better. Please help soon, I am going this weekend. |
