Aug 4, 2002 11:35 PM | | I am thinking about purchasing a Cannondale Super V 500. There are very few reviews that give detailed info on the bikes performance. I am looking for a bike that can be used as an all around XC bike that I can take on the Arizona trails and will enjoy. Is this a wise purchase? Should I look at another bike in this price range? I like this bike because: 1)It looks cool, 2)It seems light compared to others, 3) It has an LX/XT drivetrain, and 4) Price.
By the way, has anyone tried the Deore shifters? Do you like them? Please let me know!

Aug 5, 2002 6:17 AM | | WHat a coincidence, I just looked at the V500 this weekend at the local shop. They wanted $1,100 for the 2002s. Seemed well equiped for the price and for my type of riding. I just didn't like the shock and pedals....
Can someone tell me how this compares to a Giant NRS? I have to go to a local shop to price them, but someone told me they were getting one XT equipped fsr or was it XTR (?), anyway for a good price , better than the other mfg's.. I don't remember the price though. |
