While Turners are very nice bikes, they are not by themselves going to turn you from Joe Blow to Roland Green. It also would have been a bummer to buy an 02, XCE, RFX a couple weeks BEFORE interbike when all the new models were announced. Not that they're bad bikes, but almost everyone is discounting the remaining 2002 bikes to get ready for the new models.
And, just for the record, I have ridden Turners.
Get one while you still can...erolthegreat

You can get a good deal on a 2002 Turner right now. Otherwise you have to wait until like April of next year for one of the new models such as the 5-spot, which BTW, is significantly different enough that I think people are going to really miss the XCE. It's like owning a classic car. And that ain't no bummer.
The XCE, RFX, and Lucky 7 are being canned, so if you did buy...Tscheezy

one recently you are PSYCHED! The RFX will be sorely missed if for no other reason than it means losing the measure by which all other freeriders are judged. Turner has now axed the Lucky 7 line (stillborn, unfortunately) so if you want a bike anything like that GRAB AN RFX NOW! Really, the same goes for the XCE, although the 5-Spot may be a decent alternative, but no one knows or will know for a few months and then it may be too late to backpedal to an XCE. It seems that Turner is building with a bias based on local SoCal conditions dominated by fast smooth trails, so head angle are slowly falling slack. Not good news for serious technical riders.

The 5-Spot will [hopefully] always be there, so if you are not sure if you want that or an XCE, get and XCE and right quick! Soon you will have no choice.

If you're comparing Huffy's BMX bikes to turner's Mountain...DeeEight

bikes on a quality basis then they are comparable. Huffy IS one of
the leaders in turning out high-end BMX bikes. Its their line of mountain bikes which is suffering.

put my money on a classic, 10 year old, tested design that's gotten great reviews! and i got a great price because i bought it after interbike and figured the price drop.

like "loop", delivery will be in mid-december. NO REGRETS.
