Thinking about Cannon F1000slDrP

I am looking for a light bike and am considering the 2003 F1000sl by Cannondale. Any one know of any reasons not to buy or have any sugestions? I am also looking at Jamis.

I have a 2002 F3000SL and it looks as if the geometry and sizes have not changed much in 2003. I very much like the bike. The construction and finish was very nice. The big thing you are buying into if you buy the Cannondale is their suspension design. I believe it has a headshock, so my comments are confined to that as I have no experience with the Lefty. I have found the lateral rigidity and steering precision to be amazing compared to other forks in the 3 lb category. What you give up is the adjustability and tuning ability to fine tune the damping the way you want it. The Cannondale seems to come with a pretty much middle of the road damping. It it works for you, great. If not, you are not going to be very pleased. For tight, twisty single track, they are amazing forks.

I built mine from a frameset, so I cannot speak as to how the Cannondale components function.
