No, no, no! Are there any 21" XCEs available anywhere? (6 posts)
| No, no, no! Are there any 21" XCEs available anywhere? | sadandrunk Nov 25, 2002 2:47 PM | | Turner's made the last batch of 21" frames and says they are all spoken for and there will be no more. I say #@$!. Has anyone seen a 21" XCE laying around in a shop somewhere or know a possible place to find one? Already tried Jenson, Speedgoat, Wrench Science and Cambria with no luck and I don't expect to get lucky, but you never know. |
| Who thinks Turner should continue making the XCE? | erolthegreat Nov 25, 2002 4:40 PM | | Maybe you'll find one used somewhere. He only makes a few a year. How tall are you? Could you ride a 19.5"? |
| I never got a chance to ride one.... | Nuget Nov 26, 2002 5:27 AM | | But of course at this moment I can't really put my $ where my mouth is. Probably won't be in the market for a new FS ride for a year or so but it kinda sucks to see your next dream frame get dumped from production before you even get a chance to ride it. Oh well, no dealers near me anyway.
Look forward to hearing about the 5-Spot however. |
| I was thinking of trading my '97 Burner (21") for a smaller.... | Doug in CO Nov 25, 2002 8:21 PM | | What a small world - I just came to this site to see if someone would swap me for a smaller frame.
I have a '97 Turner Burner in Excellent condition that I was thinking of swapping for a smaller frame. The Burner is very similar to the XCE or O2 frame. Let me know if you are interested. I'd like to swap for another Burner/O2 or XCE in a 18 or 19.5" frame. I could swap w/ or w/out components. |
