| Maverick design any downsides? | Larue Nov 30, 2002 4:44 AM | | I have been test riding a klein palamino and It seems like a sweet bike but I am concerned that it might not be plush enough after 2 hours in the saddle and many rock gardens later. I own a sweet intense tracer that is plush but does have some bob compared to the klein.

| proprietary rear shock | derby Dec 3, 2002 2:36 PM | | You'd have to special order a replacement if the rear shock broke. And there's no rear shock options for coil.
Rear braking will cause suspension stiffening. When standing it could be more hardtail like braking than a monopivot.
"Plushness" is relative to what you are used to. And I've never found my Tracer to feel unstable or mushy pedaling from the mild bobbing. (You could raise your sag and slow your damping a click or two to reduce bob to nil on the Tracer and it would still be plush at lower speeds.)
There's no XC Trail bike as versatile and adjustable as your Tracer.
