I was thinking to buy the Trek 4700 model, does anyone have any experience with this bike??

Its a good bike. My SO has a 4900, which should be the same frame and pretty simial components. The bike should last you a long time unless you stuff that it's not intended for. If you haven't taken a test ride of it yet then do so, also while you are down at your LBS (local bike shop) make sure to check out a couple of other bikes in a similar price range. Find a LBS you trust and a bike that fits you and you will be set.

Hi,
I've got 2 4900's.
They are good bikes.Make sure the 4700 fits you.If it does buy it.You will be happy!
Also,it's backed up by Trek's lifetime warranty!!

The 4000 series Treks all have the same frame, so it comes down to which component group of goodies you want to have on the bike. The better the goodies, the more you'll pay. The 4700 looks to be quite solid for the price/performance ratio.
