Blur with a Skareb Super?JohnnyT

I an interesting in getting a Blur and setting it up for XC racing (replacing a Litespeed HT). I want a light XC fork like the Skareb Super, but everything I see about the Blur shows it with a 100 mm fork. Does a shorter, lighter fork make sense on a Blur?

The Blur's geometry was designed around a 90 mm fork. This was done so that both 80 and 100 mm forks could work well wih it. A shorter, lighter fork for racing purposes makes perfect sense.

Just thought I'd let you know since there aren't many comments on the Skareb Super yet; I just got one on my Racer X and it's incredible. I used to think there was a difference in the quality of travel between coil and air forks but the Skareb has changed my mind. On each ride the thought keeps going through my head "I can't believe this is an air fork". Like the post above says, SC did design the Blur geometry around 90mm so you can go either way. It's a tough call between the Skareb Super and the Fox Float 100 RL. I was stumped for awhile but the 1/2 lb weight difference finally helped make up my mind. I'm not sorry although my wife's 100 RL is sweet too.
