| What's the best FS bike under $1500??? | joker Mar 10, 2003 3:48 PM | | I'm in the market for a FS under $1500. What should I get?
Sugar 4+, Fuel 80 or Jekyll?? Any suggestions? |
| how about this | walter Mar 10, 2003 4:22 PM | | take a look at the specialized stumpjumper fsr comp. its got a fox fork and rear shock, xtr rear, and it is disc ready. if you can find one, they should be right around your price range |
| ditto! | Coolhand Mar 11, 2003 6:42 AM | | Much better bike then the flexing chainstay Trek designs (unless you are a hard core racer type). The Jeckyl is ok, but the sub-$1500 versions are a bit porky. The Stumpjumper XC Comp is a great value- even comes with a Disc wheelset- add a set of inexpensive Discs (Shimano Deore Hydros or Avid Mechs) and you are set.

| There IS no "best" anything..... | Fuelish Mar 11, 2003 9:46 AM | | depends on personal preference/physical size/riding style/terrain/etc/etc...."one man's meat is another man's poison" ...'nough said :) |
| yeti kokopelli? | kokothemonkey Mar 11, 2003 12:08 PM | | $1200 at supergo is a pretty good deal, especially if you want a high end manufacturer for basically the same bike as an ASR which is $$. |
