Mar 10, 2003 3:57 PM | | New Blur coming in 2 weeks (after 3 mos.)I am a 6'1" 220lb. semi-aggressive XC rider. Here is the setup, comments/advice appreciated.
I have been riding an old hardtail (Marin Bear Valley) and I am a novice when it comes to parts and components and most of the following came from advice from my LBS and this site.
Large Black Ano Blur
Marzocchi MX Pro w/ETA
Hayes Hyrdros
Chris King HS
Thompson Stem and post
Mavic Wheels
XTR (except cassette (XT) and 2002 XTR cranks)
Bontrager riser bar
Velociraptor tires |

My major decisions on this were the Fork (Fox, Marz or Rock Shocks)and the crankset, 2002 or 2003. Went with the Marz since they have excellent rep, Fox is new to Forks and read some bad comments on Rock shox.
Went with the 2002 cranks due to setup of 24/34/46 and less $. |
