| My decision making abilities are a bit BLURry... | jubilee Mar 11, 2003 10:46 PM | | Decided on the blur long ago, and ordered a medium. Then decided on parts. Then decided I didn't trust carbon fiber, so decided again on parts. Then decided a medium blur is too small, so decided on a large. Then decided it was a good thing I could change my order without losing my place in line (thanks Santa Cruz!). So, here I am now with a slew of parts and patiently (?) awaiting the arrival of my large polished frame. Here's my list of (all black) components...
--SRAM XO shifters and rear der
--XT front der
--raceface airalloy riser
--raceface deus stem
--yeti lock on grips
--avid ti levers
--6" avid mech discs
--fox 100 rlc fork
--float rl shock
--thomson post
--king headset
--speed dream wheels (king hubs/velocity 32h rims)
--notubes
--intense system 2 tires
--raceface turbine lp crankset
--raceface bb
--selle italia flite gel saddle

I'm not certain that you need tubeless on this bike - imho. I'm running Panaracer Fire XC Pros at about 38-42 lbs in mud/wet and love the hook up. I do not think I'll need notubes for myself. Just for fun - depending on riding style, think about a Vanilla. You reference getting a 100RLC - can you get one yet?? I got a Vanilla and love the way it feels with the rear plushness of the AVA RL. Yeah you will give up some weight, but it feels very smooth.
Either way - get ready - it is an awesome ride!! |
