| McMahon frame | welcomdmat Jun 12, 2003 11:42 AM | | I have someone offering me a McMahon fourbar with 5" of travel on a stratos helix shock. I don't know much about this company, though I am interested in a well built trail bike. The bike is a 2001 and looks similar to and ellsworth/turner 4bar design (there is no model sticker on the frame). Any information would be appriciated. |

| buff | gordon Jun 12, 2003 2:21 PM | | that's the b.u.f.f., and it looks like the 6" rockers. check the seat tube down by the bb for dent/ding. if you put the helix on backwards, the rebound dial can hit the frame. |

It is sturdy, hand made in the usa, with nicely machined parts, (no mass production here). My friends used to make fun of me because my frame was like #295. But, it does need for you to work on its bushings and bearings to keep it working properly. |
