No downhill and lite freeride but mostly XC is what i ride. I know the NRS 1 has hydros and theres a one at my LBS for only $1999. Theres also an NRS 2 at the LBS for $1650. Is the Sid shock over the Manitou that much better?? |

NRS2 is a great deal of a bike - Easy to upgrade parts as you please if you please and a great ride....
The Sid $ wise is *better* than the Manitou - However I would argue that although the Manitou is a lesser Priced fork - It will probably perform a little better. Sids have a habbit of flexing (Alot depening on ones weight) and not providing full travel. That being said I would go the NRS 1 with a different fork or with the original fork if you weigh no more than say 160Lbs! (I am 150Lbs) as the sid can flex!
Do wheatever you like - I would take the NRS1 over the NRS2 but I just prefer hydros - Either way you are getting the same bike! Oh and I would take a Manitou over a Rock Shox anyday for sure! |
