Does anybody on this board have a coil shock on their Hollowpoint?
And what's the biggest tires you can fit between the stays?

The clearance issue isn't to do with the stays; it's the yoke brace running between the top and bottom stays in the centre of the tyre that has the problem. I have about 6-7mm running Michelin WG XL S and Front S 2.1 UST. Tyre volume/profile is the critical factor. (Not that it bothers me much, and I've just ridden through our winter).

Using the stock Float AVA. I've heard a few guys are running Romic and Fox coils. See hcor.net
All of the Hollowpoint Sport models come with Fox coils...næstep

...this year, not the Cane Creek AD5 shown in the catalog photos. Check out the Sport reviews and maybe email some of those guys if you have any specific questions.

The eye opener for me with the tire clearance issue was how big a variance there is between different brands and models of similarly sized tires. The 26" x 2.0 Larsen TT that came stock with my HP Expert had less clearance than a 26" x 2.1" Fire XC Pro. If I remember correctly, Todd from IH found a 2.3" tire that cleared.

Got a couple of sample clearance shots in this post.

Some sports in Canada came with Cane Creek.....Dropout

Coil is definitely more prevalent, but I have seen 3 sports in Canada with the cane creek. So if you call around and look you may be able to find sports with the cane creek.
