I'am/was thinking about buying this bike(due to price($1700) and components, and the fact that Weyless tries to make the point that they make quality bikes at an affordable price)...
I think the 2003 was the first year for the Weyless 6-7, so there might be minor problems.....the 2004 frame has all types of upgrades(removable dropouts, 12mm thru rear axle)claiming that it will make the rear stiffer for drops and downhill.......Do you think these upgrades are critical to performance/getting home? The biggest drop I'll ever do is maybe 7-10ft. Is this frame(mainly swingarm) as strong as they(supergo, weyless, customer review) claim to be? or Should I just go with a more "proven" company?(specialized, trek, etc.)
Any advice will be appreciated!
Any recommendations of other bikes will be helpful(within $2000 max.)
