|   Hardrock Comp or Trek 4500? | ccdcrd

Sep 22, 2003 5:08 PM | | I agree with the above that fit is really a big key for an entry level bike. I can't comment on the hardrock, but I rode a 4500 for two years when I was starting out. It's a solid bike that can handle most x-country style riding. Good beginner ride. I still have mine and occasionally ride it instead of my full suspension rig. |

Sep 23, 2003 10:40 AM | | Can't comment on the Hardrock Comp but I have ridden the 4500 with Rock Shox Judy TT air fork for two years and it is a great bike. ZERO problems and I beat the living Sh#@! out of it on the trails. I rode XC trails in rootie and muddy conditions all the time but no major jumping etc.
I'd recommend the 4500 anyday. |
