GT I-Drive eccentric pivot - any common probs?fsrhammer

I'm referring to the older 2000-2002 types. I know it may crud in that area but are the bearings easily maintained, any problems with BB mountings, serviceability, etc. etc?

Those with a decent amt of time of experience owning one of these, pls respond. Thanks much
As odd as the eccentric pivot is, it uses standard bearings...Danny

or so I've read. Haven't had any reason to service mine yet. Based on the size the eccentric, the bearings are probably lightly loaded. I have read of the dogbones failing. Don't notice any wear on mine. Pacific is continuing the I-drive series and has service parts for all of them. One other point to mention. Pacific/GT has increased the webbing in the area of the seatpost, where some (especially the smaller sized frames) had failed.
