I will have a few extra Intense 5.5 EVP frames in one week!!WSChris

We have managed to get the first batch of 5.5 frames from Intense. They are all medium and I have one blue, one red, one black and one grey. I can only sell these four as complete bikes but we will have more available soon to sell as frame only. We are doing this on a first come first served basis. Best way to contact me and get one is through email at:

That's great and all, and I'm sure lots of folks who are looking desperately for one will be glad to hear it...but you're flogging your product on a message board. Perhaps because ya'll pay for front page advertising (on which the 5.5 has appeared for weeks), you're exempt from spam rules, but take note of the fact that the most respected shop owners who frequent these boards NEVER DO THIS. They chime in only when necessary, and never just to further their business.

Just my .02 cents, but I don't really want to fight about it.
Not true. I've seen some others give "stock updates" and such.Tscheezy

WS does buy advertising space here which some of the other smaller shops don't, so it is not like they are really getting a freebee, especially on such a hotly anticipated frame. Now if they posted every time they got a new batch of YesTubes, that would be another matter.

I appreciate it since I am planning on selling my Spot and picking one of those bad boys up first thing!

You're getting rid of your Five-Spot? I didn't think it was legal to actually disown a Fiver, at least not on this board. How are you planning on setting up the Intense? Staying Zoke on the front?

Thanks chris

holy cannoly..wrench science is prob getting serious dough for these bikes..they are on the expensive side, ive called them and talked to them, very nice guys, they have a super super high end store..but you pay just like you would buying a porsche in beverly hills..i dont have that kind of loot, so ill wait and buy from another source..looks like a great ride, but you pay premium if u want one now..btw, i love their website with all the pics of $4,000.00 bikes!!
Certain frames, especially when they are rare................esquire

to be in stock, get listed here. We did it once when we had our first batch of 5-spots come in, because we had some that weren't accounted for. We were just so damned excited, we shared. I understand the point about posting just for business sakes, but its not like Chris posted a new shipment of Titus Racer X frames that have been out forever. We did it when the 5-spot first came out, and we still have one, actually, but a friend is drooling on it, so who knows.

I have no problem with it, but if the board in general doesn't want to hear about nice frames that are IN STOCK at a particular shop, then so be it. I think its a nice thing to do, because its not like they sit around forever, and there are always a ton of questions about "in stock" frames.

We get a ton of emails about whats in stock, so customers don't have to wait, and if they need a frame that we don't have in stock, we tell them to give Larry, Charles, Wrenchscience, or Go-ride a call and see if they have them in stock. I know, not typical business practice to hand business over, BUT, it seems to be a more cordial business atmoshphere in bikes, than anywhere else I've been involved with. Whats best for the customer is what should count, and if we don't have a frame that takes weeks to get in, and they want it NOW, we try to help them find it. Its just the right thing to do.

I've got no problem with this kind of postBikezilla

When the bike is new, hard to find and/or there is a real buzz about it then I think it's actually a service to let folks know where some might be available.

Perhaps not over and over and over, but one or two messages to get the word out is no big deal. Sometimes, the regulars here help ppl in search, find shops with hot stock. We couldn't pass that info on if we didn't know about it.

Cheers!

Jamis XLT's, and already have Giant Carbon NRS frames, as well as three Maveric forks on the way? It seems to me that folks out there want to know what is coming down the pipeline, whether or not I am actually offering them for sale online. It is a subtle blur between availability scuttlebut to pure spam. I do have all of the items really on the way, FWIW.
