Hate to tell ya, but MTBs depreciate pretty fast. I have the 2002 Caldera and at the moment it seems to be worth less than half of what I put into it (counting drivetrain upgrades, new parts, etc.). Aluminum frames also have an average 3-year fatigue life, although Kona claims longer for their frames and I believe them; I plan to be on this bike for another year at least. At best you could maybe get up to $80 for the frame, maybe $300 for the full build, but you're probably better off just hanging on to it.

$999 full list price, if that helps. Jim

Hmmm....I pair around $750 for my Caldera (complete bike) in '99? Is yours the "burnt orange" color? Or do you have a lot of upgrades on it?

Overall, you probably won't get too much for it. I'd say something on the order of $150 for the steel frame only.
