Broken/discard SPIN MTB rear wanted(1 post)

Broken/discard SPIN MTB rear wantedwart

I'm hoping somebody out there might have a donor SPIN MTB composite wheel for a Frankenstein experiment. I'm trying to put a good set of 20" SPINs on a recumbent bike, but I want to have a rear derailleur. I'm trying to find a cracked or otherwise barfed SPIN rear wheel. The object of the experiment is to see if I can transfer the freehub from the barfed MTB wheel to the 20", in place of the hub stuff that came on the 20" BMX wheel, which was designed for a single sprocket.

I have no idea if the dimensions of the composite portions of the respective wheels are such that this sort of transfer could be successful, but it's worth a try, especially if I can get the donor wheel cheap. Thus, the search for a cracked or barfed one. I'd be happy to take a good one off your hands cheap, but my main goal is CHEAP, so I'll probably have to hope for a barfed one.

Email olthoff@earthlink.net if you have a potential donor, and we can arrange price, shipping and such.
