I was thinking Mavic 317 with Revolutions to alloy nipples and either american classic or hugi 240 hubs.

Whatcha guys think?
yes, but maybe Mavic x3.1 USTderby

Considering rim tape, the rim weight difference may not be much. You can run tube tires with tubes too with UST rims.

And I'm looking to lighten those up a bit.

She's never had a flat or a pinchflat, even before tubeless.

sounds good to me, go for the 1.8/1.5/1.8 spokes with aluminium nips and either the hugi or american classic hubs with x517 rims and you will have a very nice and light set up that's very well suited to a 125lb xc rider. good luck
