Help truing a Rolf Propel Wheelset...astogie
Jun 13, 2002 10:13 AM
Hello,

I am doing a bike build and would like to true up a new pair of Rolf Propel wheels. The problem is my wheel guy is not familar with the process used with "paired spoke" wheels...

Can anyone direct me to this info?

Thanks!

Tighten / loosen the spokes in pairs. Tighten the spoke on the side that you want to move the rim towards and loosen the other spoke the same amount.

If the adjustment is a half turn or less, I adjust the paired spokes at the imperfection and also adjust the pair to either side half the amount.

If the adjustment is very large, then I will adjust 2 pairs to either side (the 2 closest pairs by 1/2 the amount...and the next 2 pairs by 1/4 the amount.

The system works well for my Dolomites. I hope my explanation isn't too confusing.
