Problems building 3x with King/517HRH
Jun 14, 2002 5:53 AM
I'm building my rear wheel with Mavic 517 and Chris King classic rear hub. I'm using 3x pattern both on the drive and non-drive sides. I was unable to lace the last group of 8 spokes on the non-drive side. It seems the spokes are just too short. I've build wheels with the 3x pattern before with out any problems. I checked and recheck my lacing pattern for correctness. It seems that the spokes are just to short. My question is this: What size spokes should I have used? I'm using 260mm on the drive side and 264mm on the non-drive side. Any help is much appricated. Thanks!
