| Mavic 121 vs. 521 rim | andy-1 Jun 16, 2002 2:49 PM | | Hi!
Can anyone tell me what's the difference between Mavic 521 and 121 rims? Is the 521 MUCH more stronger than the 121? I'm especially interested in the spoke length - can I use the spokes I've had on my old 121 rims on the 521 rims?
Thanx, andy |

Strength wise they are the same and are both designed for the same applications. The 121 is a shallower profile so the spokes are approximately 4mm longer than those required for the D521. So it's new spokes.
