| Velocity rim colors... | alibi Nov 26, 2002 9:26 AM | | Anyone have or know of a pic of the "spangled silver" color listed for the VXC? Are the colored ones anodized or powder coated?
Also, any suggestions on a source for these rims at a good price would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much in advance. |

| re: Velocity rim colors... | NCN Nov 26, 2002 12:48 PM | | Just built up a set of Velocity VXCs a couple of weeks ago. Got a great deal from Mike Garcia at www.oddsandendos.com. He posts here as Bianchi4me. I think the spangled ones anyway are powder coated. I don't have a decent pic, but if you look at the rim from a distance it really looks dark gray or black -- you only notice the spangled effect up close.

| Re: Powdercoat vs. Anodized | Bianchi4Me Nov 27, 2002 12:22 PM | | For the VXC, the black is anodized and all the other colors are powdercoated. Powdercoat weighs 10-15g more than anodized, but tends to be more durable.
Note this info only pertains to the VXC. Velocity makes some other models in an anodized gray, and they also make the Synergy in a powdercoat black finish. |
