I am thinking of getting some new wheels for my trail bike. I am not to concerned about weight, but dont want an unnecessary pig. I was looking at Singletracks, 317s, 223s, and rhyno lites for the rims. For the hubs I have been considering XT, Hope Bulbs or XCs, ONYX and if they are worth it the King Discos. What are your feelings on these choices. Also, would you stick with the normal 14/15 double butted spokes.

You've got a pretty wide spectrum covered there -- the 317 is a disc only race-weight rim while the Rhynos are much heavier, suited for gorillas or big drops. The XTs are heavy but cheap and durable and the Kings are light, expensive and durable.

You'll probably want to nail down the intended use a little better to get some sensible advice. In any case, unless you're looking for the tops in stiffness, you'd probably want to stay with 14/15s for a disc wheelset.
