ringle abbah s.o.s hubthird rail

I have a sun/ringle SUV front wheel with the abbah s.o.s hub and i'm wondering if it will work w/ a normal quick realease. cause i tried to put an xt guick release through and it was REALLY tight, i didn't want to force it too much and screw up the threads were the bolts can go. it says on their site that it "can" be set up with their "swoopy" bolts but nothing about standard quick release. are the bolts the only option? help i am confused.

Some of the more recent Shimano front skewers are 5mm in diameter. The Abbah is designed for a "standard" size 4.5mm. You just need to get a non-Shimano skewer and it should be fine as is. Try it before you buy it though! Your hub might be drilled a little snug, etc., but I bet it's just a fat Shimmy skewer.

thnks for the reply. i still can't figure it out though. the shimano skewer is from '97 and i tried using a bunch of other misc skewers i had lying around, they'll all go about a fourth of the way in and that's it. the only one that made it through (with a little force) was an old rear joytech skewer, but that doesn't really help my situation. i wrote sun a week ago but havn't heard anything.

as some people who've bought Ti axles off me have complained their
XTR skewers didn't fit.

. . .nevermind, turns out that the axle is deffective. i sent it back to sun/ringle and they called me back to see what was going on (guess it wasn't something they see much) and then said they'd send me a new one.done
