This is probably a better place to ask the question. I posted this in the passion forum as well...
E "After 3 years, finally found a Tension Disc Wheel! (help)" 12/6/02 12:18pm

Anyone know how to work on such a wheel. Where I could find someone that knows how to true/restore it?

Thanks,
Eric

As I recall, they true the same as other wheels. There was a screw in the eyelet that pulled on the nut below the rim. This tensions the cable. Tension is the tricky part. Sugino had a torque setting, at a few inch pounds. You will need to search for the information.

Wow, that's one pimp looking set of wheels. Is there any advantage to it other than wow factor?

Tomac and Ned used to ride back in the early 90's?
Are you new(er) to the sport?

No real advantages to be had aside from rarity and cool factor. Back in the day weight and 'aerodynamics' were the touted advantages. The problem was that the wheel cost close to $500 (not including hub and hoop)
